Emotions are the soul of a film irrespective of what genre it belongs to. Similarly, the characterizations in a film become much substantial when blended with more emotions. Such will be the role played by veteran actor Charlie in Sivakarthikeyan – Nayanthara starrer ‘Velaikkaran’, directed by Mohan Raja. An evergreen actor, who takes a cakewalk with any role offered to him, essays the role of Sivakarthikeyan’s father.
“Sometimes, we get attached with a person and start sharing an unconditional affinity towards them. Sivakarthikeyan was such a person to work with and our rapport got great due to our off-screen friendship. During the contemporary times, when the young generation of actors get confined to their own ideologies, Sivakarthikeyan proved to be an exception with his complete down-to-earth and good nature. This helped us perform even better in the roles of father and son. Our combination of sequences will involve both entertainment and emotions. I play a father, who will be the backbone of his son’s decision, supporting him wholeheartedly,” says Charlie.
He continues to elaborate the hard work of entire team saying, “I would say Mohan Raja sir, Ramji sir and Muthuraj sir are someone who are more than technicians. ‘Magicians’ would be the appropriate word to describe them.”
